I hate star forge
I spent like a fucking hour just for doodads & now they don't even show up thanks to that stupid .bak file
Sorry I'm not redoing the entire map again, it took a really long time cuz i put alot of effort into making this a pretty map

dont work with that gay starforge yeah it removes the 'sprite-like' doodads such as the trees

use scmdraft

map is quite solid, i think that enormous cliff is retarded and looks bad :)

I recommend SCMD2 for melee mapping, too. Doodads are not handled perfectly, but better than in SF at least (for melee mapping purposes).

aight guys, I've been playing this map alot with my friends & they think it kicks ass. I do to. I' going to try to put the doodads in again. Wish me luck

Ok, doodads now in. I just need something to do with those to big cliff things in teh middle. I don't think another expo would be good cuz then there might be to many. so maybe just another inlet for secret spot o.O

seems very tight and very claustrophobic (uh that means its just annoying between walls everywhere :P)

i dont know what should you do about that cliff. but that looks horrible sry. and i dont know why top and bottom natural placement are different.. top positions have an inbase cliff, a nice home of cheeses and the bottom nats are so exposed that they cant be defended that well

It's not as tight as it looks, I've had alot of good game play on this map. I'm going to try to upload a few reps on it. Did something with the cliffs & put doodads on islands cuz I forgot to last time

If you use starforge first. all you do to keep your trees back is just save in starforge then open up the same map in Scmdraft then save under new name. You'll get your trees and doodads back, if you check in staredit.

You can do this trick back and forth, say you finished a map in staredit, but now you need to paste a ramp or bridge you open again in starforge and you repete step 1 again.

ok I saw the replay. First of all that was really boring and you could have ended it a lot sooner by actually attacking him not sitting there letting him mass carriers. Secondly sairs are bad to use on carriers because carriers start with +4 to armour with no upgrades, and 3 dmg per atk (with your +2) is no fun. Thirdly there was no flanking in the entire game, nor could there have been due to the tightness of the map. You could barely fit your army in those passages let alone surround it -.- And lastly the name is shit =/ And 815 is a pro map, and pro maps always have issues, be it positional imbalances, racial imbalances, and in this case name fuck ups ><

actually there is a lot more room on 815, but i think mopst mappers should get away this ring style.. in a 4 player map it always leads to unflakability and yeah it can also be founded in pro maps, but i dont see so much possibility and tricking in it

the biggest problem in 815 is that the inverted ramps are made in a crappy way (my scarab could squeeze itself at an illegal point) and its name, OMG WHAT THE HELL IS THAT INTERESTING IN A NUMBER
